Flood of 2007
It has been a long week with the flood and all. I have been volunteering with the animal welfare society at the shelter all week. We were taking in pets of people that had been flooded and they had nowhere to take their animals. We had them out by our shelter but now they are moved to the NEO arena, which is soooo much better. We also took care of animals that were picked up during the flood. I have to note--we had 2 chickens there too and a parrot! :)
The American Humane came Thursday evening to help so we now have a break!! They are taking care of them now. I didn't have time to take many pictures but I will post what I have.
I have also been dogsitting my friend Cean's dog this week. She's a sweetie and we will be sad when she leaves! Their house was flooded, but they are cleaning everything up now. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse than what it was!
