Trey

Thought I would let you all know that Trey didn't make it. He caught another virus that was resistant to antibiotics (a teenager died from this same thing at St. Johns in Tulsa). On Dec. 28 they put him in isolation and his blood pressure went down and they couldn't get it to come back up. He passed away with me and my mom by his side at 8:30 pm. He was a fighter--he fought hard the whole entire time he was in the hospital, he was a very tough little boy. This has been very hard for us, but I know in time it will get a little easier although never forgotten. I don't think there will ever be a harder time than losing your own child. I want to thank everyone that prayed for Trey and our family.. We can still use prayers to get through this. THANKS!!

Update on Trey

Trey is still at Hillcrest at the NICU-recently he caught an infection and had to be put on the ventilator until he gets better. Worries me to death, but the doctors and nurses don't seem to be alarmed or anything, I guess it is all pretty normal. He had to have 2 blood transfusions on Sunday to get his red blood ct up. He has been on antibiotics to fight the infection he has had. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon. We will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house over Christmas, and Steve's parents are coming up from Louisiana to see Trey and spend Christmas with us.
If you can say a little prayer for Trey---it will be greatly appreciated!!! I will post some more pics when I can. Our computer is still down so I am using my moms.
Let you all know more soon.

We received an early Christmas Present!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We received an early, wonderful present this year!! I went to Walmart on Monday (5th) and rode the scooter thing around. April--I think I saw you there but you had already walked by and away before I knew for sure if it was you or not. ANYWAY, Tuesday (6th) morning I woke up at 4:30am and my water broke. I ran to the bathroom, woke Steve up and told him. We woke Brady and rushed to the hospital because if I went into labor with the cerclage in Trey wouldn't have any way to get out and it would not have been a good thing. My doctor came to the hospital and did an ultrasound and noticed one of Trey's feet down by my cervix which she had to keep checking to make sure he wasn't actually kicking out. I didn't really have any cervix left- just where the stitches were. They life flighted me to Tulsa Hillcrest again in the helicopter and took me straight to the OR and did another U/S and then did my c-section. Trey was born before my mom, sister, Steve and Brady could get there. He was at almost 28 weeks, he weighed 2lbs 12oz (almost 3lbs) and is 15.5 in long. He's in the neonatal icu unit right now at Hillcrest. He's doing very good, he's only on a c-pap machine to make sure he remembers to breathe and has a pic line so he can take his meds. He has a small heart murmur which they said is common with preemies but they have given him some medicine to close the valve. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon, and we went today to bring him some milk (I'm pumping) and we took some pics while he had his c-pap off his face.
Anyway he is doing very good and thought I would let everyone know!! :) Say a little prayer for him if you will. Thanks!!! I'll keep everyone updated on news..

On a brighter note

On a much brighter, HOTTER note. I watched the Nascar cup awards last night and Tony won a total of $$$ 13, 578, 168 for the year. Not too shabby, huh? Yes that was in millions. He has won a total of 48.4 million in his cup career.
Yay Tony. There's a contest where you can meet him and guess when it is?? The last week of Feb. the 26th.. My due date week. My luck I would go into labor after just meeting him. LOL Owell owell.... I'm sure he will soon be named one of the most eligible bachelors. Just had to end my night on a good note.

Missing the Christmas parade

Well, I was in charge of our AWS part in the Christmas parade last year. This year they are using the banners I made last year plus I made 4 posters for it. I am very bummed and can't be a part of it this year. Next year Brady and I can do it again though. There's no way Brady could walk Shae down main street. Would not be a good thing. Anyway I drove down to see how the decorating was going on the truck. I wanted to at least go to it, but I don't know where I would sit and can't walk far. fun fun. Guess I can look forward to next year! and we'll have baby next year!! Just had to vent a little. I'm getting very sick of staying at home not doing anything......
